Cole River Hatchery

This large hatchery raises a full range of fish. Features display ponds, viewing room and observation areas. From Medford: Take Hwy 62 toward Crater Lake to milepost 29 at Casey State Park. Left onto Takelma Dr for ¾ mi, then right, across Rogue River. Fishing nearby in Casey Park Parking ramp, good bank access, fishing for salmon, steelhead and trout.

Year-round elk viewing; numerous birds and waterfowl. Viewing area stretches along 3 miles of Hwy 38 with two viewing areas and several pullouts. On Hwy 38, about 5 mi E of Reedsport.

McGregor Park ON Rogue River near Cole M. Rivers Fish Hatchery. A fishing pier allows access to salmon and steelhead.
Port of Brookings/Harbor Handicap fishing dock on south side of Chetco River Bay. Fish for salmon, crabs, cutthroat trout.
Powers Memorial Park

South on I-5 to Roseburg. Exit right at Coquille cutoff and follow it through Winston (Hwy. 42). Keep to right when the road splits.

I-5 at Roseburg: Take Hwy 138 to Idleyd Park, go N on Rock Creek Rd about ¾mi.

Several gravel bars are accessible to vehicles from Lobster Creek Campground downriver to the Old Mill site at river mile 3.0. Fish for summer and winter steelhead, coho, and spring and fall chinook salmon.
Schroeder Park on the Rogue River
Grants Pass
Just west of Grants Pass. Parking, ramp, fishing pier. Fishing for salmon, steelhead and trout.
Swiftwater Recreation Site
North Umpqua
Located at milepost 22 on Highway 138, the Swiftwater trailhead marks the beginning of the North Umpqua Trail, a 79-mile path that parallels the North Umpqua River for its entire length eastward and leads to the Pacific Crest Trail. A new day-use area with a handicap accessible fishing platform is also available at the site.

Two miles south of Selma on Hwy 199 about 20 miles southwest of Grants Pass. Parking, floating docks, ramp. Fishing for Trout and warmwater fish.
Shady Cove Park on the Rogue River 15 miles Northeast of Medford. Parking, ramp, fishing pier. Fishing for salmon, steelhead and trout.

7.5 miles north of Reedsport off U.S. Hwy 101. Fishing pier suitable for wheelchair access. Fish for trout, bluegill, yellow perch, largemouth bass.

Five miles south of Shady Cove on North Bank Road. Parking, ramp, fishing pier is planned. Fishing for salmon, steelhead and trout.

Enjoy picnicking and fishing on the banks of the Rogue River. Playground, boat ramp, handicap fishing, reception hall & raft inflater. Walking distance to Shady Cove businesses. Highway 62 at Rogue River Drive.
